About Us

The Sanctuary

Is located on a peaceful 40 acres in Livermore, Colorado.

Our history

This sanctuary is dedicated to Seneca.  Seneca had a passion for horses and would bring home as many as she could. Most of the horses are un-rideable due to long term medical issues.  Heartbreakingly Seneca passed away in a car accident in 2021. Her family will carry out her legacy by giving these horses their forever home and honor  Seneca's passion through adopting and providing a safe haven for horses in need. 

Our mission

The mission of Wind Horse Sanctuary is to rescue neglected or at-risk horses and provide life long care to horses with special needs at the sanctuary or through rehabilitation and adoption to forever homes.
